Juha Eskola N2.

In search of the perfect dress watch

I have no shortage of ideas when it comes to watchmaking, and my mind is always drawn to new ideas. However, I treated creating a perfect dress watch as my first priority as a watchmaker. When I think of a dress watch, I think of a gold-cased watch that effortlessly slips under the cuff. My vision was an elegant and timeless yet contemporary design with impeccable attention to detail. Here she is, N2, the perfect dress watch that will accompany its owner during the most precious moments of their life.

Vintage Hand-wound goodness

For the movement, I selected the famous Longines 30L vintage caliber. It's not only a high-quality movement with a heritage to match, but it's also aesthetically pleasing and watchmaker-friendly. Also, its moderate size enables a dress watch-friendly case size.

All parts visible through the sapphire glass in the caseback are hand-finished at my workshop. Different finishing techniques were carefully selected and implemented to create a balanced finish with impeccable attention to detail. Gold chatons are the cherry on top.

Unique case finishing

One of the unique signature details in N2 is the hand-hammering finish on the trails on the side of the case. The rugged hand-hammered surface perfectly contrasts the otherwise polished case. The technique is often used in movement finishing and dials, but this is the first time I have seen it in cases.
