Watchmaker's way.
I am a 30-something-year-old Finnish watchmaker originally from Ostrobothnia. I moved to Leppävaara, Espoo, in 2015 to attend the Finnish School of Watchmaking. This was chapter one. My intention was always to design and make my own watches. It was equally clear that the watches would not carry a made-up brand name but my own name. During my studies, I crafted the first prototype of the N1 watch. However, it was three years later when the first finished piece was finally handed over to a customer. This was chapter two. As a watchmaker, I have barely started my journey, and I am eagerly waiting for what the future holds for me. I can assure you that my goal will be the same throughout this journey: to create beautiful timepieces that I can proudly present to you with my name on the dial. I am a watchmaker, and this is the beginning of chapter three. Welcome aboard.
I applied to the Finnish School of Watchmaking with only one goal in mind: to become an independent watchmaker. I once said that my dream would be a watchmaking atelier in the Swiss mountains. Later, however, that dream changed slightly, and my watches will proudly carry the FINN MADE label. Too bad there are no mountains in Finland.

There's nothing like an empty canvas in front of you. It can be frustarting at times but at best, it's a great opportunity, opportunity to create something beautiful. For a watchmaker, it's soothing to paint. If you fuck up the painting, just paint on top of the mistake, fill your glass with cheap white wine and carry on.

Jewellery.I have a strong need to create. Whether it's watches, cocktails, websites or photos, I find joy from the creative process. Nothing better captures all the elements of the process than making jewellery. You start with the idea that is sketched on a piece of paper. Then you start putting it all together and in the end you have created something beautiful to behold.

Photography.Gazing through the viewfinder when the perfect shot comes to focus is one of the more exciting moments in life. On this site, I will share some of my photography projects. Whether it's the Nuuksio National Park or New York, the places I visit have always inspired me. They will always be shown in my work beyond photos.
